Providence seems to love Dunkin Donuts. They’re everywhere. Think Starbucks in other major cities.

As you may know, I travel quite a bit. Luckily, since I moved to NY the trips have been fewer and father between. I’ve met some interesting folks along the way. Mostly, I meet no one. Maybe its because I won’t speak to anyone with a bluetooth headset and blackberry running at the same time. Or maybe its because I don’t want to hear about my neighbors interest deprived, two car garage existence in the burbs.
Anyways, returning from SFO after the holidays I actually met someone quite interesting. She decided to write a blog entry about it: here

Was in SF last Saturday night and jumped into a Taxi with Christmas lights strung around the whole roof. It was sorta hard to capture in the frame, but you get the idea. The clincher was ‘Private Eyes’ being blasted on the stereo.

- Is FexEd/Kinko’s the worst place on earth? Broken machines, unhelpful staff, long lines. This place now replaces the DMV as the number one least favorite destination.
- You’re a business traveler, you’re in first class, don’t be such a schmuck. Its an airplane, not a five star french restaurant.

Figured out why the comments were not working. I’m using the jVisitors plugin to give the little flag that shows what country you are from based on your IP address. Unfortunately, I deactivated a few unused plugins and accidentally turned this one off. I copied the default WordPress comments.php file into my theme directory and everything worked. A quick diff of the two files reminded me what I had done wrong. duh!
Anyways, I’ve had over 1,000 unique visitors to this silly little blog. I guess I need a guestbook or something cuz hardly anyone is leaving comments. Maybe if I actually wrote some interesting political commentary or witty antidotes?

Man Kur(d)t Cobain died twelve years ago today. Hard to imagine its been that long. I think Nirvana is the kinda band that no one wants to admit that they like anymore, but even after all the beer commercials or whatever they still were a really important band.
